Welcome to my Gallery
Katherine grew up in the Berkshires. Riding horses and hiking in the beautiful hills and woodlands of Litchfield County influenced her love of animals and the outdoors. From a young age, she began drawing and painting. Color and brushstroke continue to interest Katherine while working in the mediums of oil, acrylics, and gouache. She primarily paints with oils.
The outer Cape, where Katherine has a summer home, inspires her landscapes and seascapes, from the bay to the ocean. Animal friends, including horses and dogs, are the subject of her “critter paintings,” which are often commissioned by friends.
Katherine minored in art at Green Mountain and Central Connecticut Colleges. She has pursued courses at Castle Hill Arts in Truro on Cape Cod and RISD online courses. Brenda Horowitz, a Provincetown artist, help introduce her to color and acrylics. She is a member of PAAM (Provincetown Art Association and Museum) and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In 2022 she exhibited at PAAM in the members’ 12 x 12 show.
Recently, retired from her business career, Katherine has returned to her love of oil painting.
Enjoy!
